Z Prime Therapeutics is a precision oncology therapeutics biotechnology company developing first-in-class treatments for aggressive, "undruggable" cancers. The company exploit a novel synthetic lethal relationship involving mRNA quality control machinery in cancer cells. The small molecules selectively target and disrupt the cellular mechanisms cancer cells use to manage dysregulated RNA, inducing "transcriptome collapse" - a catastrophic failure of gene expression that occurs exclusively in biomarker-positive tumor cells. Normal cells remain unaffected, delivering a large therapeutic index and the potential for safer, more effective drugs for patients with significant unmet clinical need. Backed by foundational science published by the Scientific Advisory team from the Broad Institute and Columbia in Nature journal (2025), Z Prime has already identified validated hit compounds with high selectivity and is actively advancing them through hit-to-lead optimization to improve potency and drug-like properties.
