Dr. El Assal is the Managing Partner & Founder of Boutique Venture Partners. Over the past 5 years, he has led Boutique’s investments in early-stage companies across biotech, medtech, and healthtech. Drawing on a background that bridges science, medicine, and venture capital, he partners with authentic founders developing transformative technologies in health and life sciences. In 2022, he was recognized among the Top 25 Healthcare Investors by GrowthCap. Dr. El Assal is a Scientist-Clinician trained at Harvard and Stanford Medical Schools.
Dr. Connelly is a renowned Surgeon-Scientist with a multifaceted background in academia and clinical practice. Over the past two decades, he has held a number of academic appointments, including serving as a Professor at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Connelly received both his MD and Ph.D from the UCSF School of School.
